Job Description Job Description Salary: Broadcast Management Group (BMG) has an opening for a Broadcast Production Engineer position to support our REMI Broadcast facilities, mobile units, and client facilities. This position will travel extensively to support live news, sports, and entertainment broadcast as Engineer in charge (EIC), maintaining and troubleshooting broadcast equipment. While at the REMI facilities, you will be tasked with helping the integration team by installing and testing new equipment and assisting in creating engineering signal flow synoptic diagrams and rack elevations. We are seeking someone who wants to be an active part in revolutionising the production industry Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide technical production support for facilities within the production environment and ensure all equipment is running correctly Serve as the Engineer In Charge on location and at our Broadcast Operations Center. Handle integration and upgrade projects of various scale Be able to read, and understand broadcast engineering AutoCAD design drawings Work independently or as a team on integration projects supporting equipment commissioning and training Assist with planned system upgrades Perform equipment maintenance as needed, working outside of regular business work hours Terminate, label and test video, audio, control, and network wires from a wire list and drawings Knowledge of approved broadcast installation standards and techniques Ability to wire up equipment using company policies and standards for quality and neatness Perform other duties as assigned Help give suggestions to the team on how to improve a system. Interacting daily with customers at the event and delivering the BMG experience. Working closely with Producers for the event and assisting with managing the crew. Pack and unpack the production truck with your E2. Build shows from the ground up, including router configuration, signal flow troubleshooting, and working with various technicians to establish show requirements and turn them into executed solutions. Able to coordinate transmission and set up transmission for your show. Maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that works well with co-workers, supervisors, customers and vendors. Provide guidance and training to E2 and/or less experienced team members. Responsible end-to-end for large-scale events, overseeing the production crew. Must-Have: Live production environment experience Mobile production unit experience Strong knowledge of live multi-camera production Strong understanding of streaming encoders Strong understanding of audio/video over IP (Dante, rtmp, srt) Work well with clients and staff Able to work well under pressure within a live production environment and deadlines Able to work independently at a high level Strong technical mind 4+ years of relevant, hands-on experience and interested in working with the most incredible technology on the best events to maximize your potential Familiar with the broadcast signal flow or networking Have built or engineered equipment, worked on the technical side of the live event industry or love technology and trends Interest in sports and eSports Perform well under pressure and love challenges
