Solutions Architect, Technical Content Programs AWS CX - Documentation

Amazon, Seattle, Washington, us, 98127

Description

As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect for the AWS Technical Content Experience (TCX) Team, you will be a vital contributor to creating new digital experiences (using both new and existing content, some of which you will write) designed to give AWS customers a predictable frame of reference for making strategic AWS technology choices before they start learning, building, deploying, or optimizing on AWS. It will also cover what they need to know if they’ve already started.

In this role, you will partner with solutions architects, engineers, technical writers, and other thought leaders to bring together existing and new content and functionality to support customers’ needs. As an AWS generalist, you will work across AWS product and service teams, and with other key stakeholders, to identify requirements and key dependencies for content planning and development.

The AWS TCX team writes and provides support for a diverse audience including developers, DevOps professionals, IT professionals, technical program managers, and scientists. We create, publish, and orchestrate content experiences across a number of AWS sites that feature technical content, including the AWS Documentation site. We also innovate, research, learn, and experiment. We collaborate with product managers to understand our customers’ needs. We partner with software developers to learn the inner workings of AWS services so that we can create accurate documentation, and influence or design of the customer experience. We know that what we do makes a difference in the successful adoption and implementation of AWS services.

The ideal candidate is a strong collaborator. You have backbone and advocate on behalf of our customers, yet you are able to disagree and commit when needed. Your technical background enables you to inspire Solutions Architects and other subject matter experts to provide the guidance customers seek. You are a leader with excellent writing, editing, time management, and communication skills. You know what our technical customers need to effectively adopt AWS.

Key job responsibilities

• Use data and customer feedback to drive insight into recommendations for content topics, features, and functions.

• Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

• Guide AWS subject matter experts in developing a prioritized set of content that helps customers understand what they need to know before building on AWS. You’ll serve as an advisor and a technical reviewer to ensure content accuracy and integrity. You’ll help field authors obtain inputs from technical leaders, engineering teams, and other members of the AWS field across a wide range of technology domains.

• Collaborate closely with content strategists, technical writers, and UX designers to identify and fill content gaps, define an overarching content strategy, and optimize published content based on customer feedback.

• Drive creative and critical thinking with the ability to deliver projects from inception to completion.

Note: This role will not support customers in 1:1 engagements, nor have account-based
