is seeking a Director of Production responsible for working with a team of XGSP Executive Producers and the supporting production team, central publishing services, Xbox Partners, and independent development studios on console and PC games developed for Xbox Services. This will be a leadership role within the Publishing Team reporting to the GM of Publishing.
The Director of Production should have experience with internal and external game console development processes, superior operational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. They should also be interested in delivering high quality games and business success. They must be a team-player, highly organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented with great follow-through skills and the ability to prioritize and manage large complex organizational and executional issues.
The Director of Production will be forging partnerships with internal teams and external development teams, including day-to-day communication and management, as necessary. It also includes overseeing all the workstreams that go into managing a game from start to release and maintaining an environment of trust and excellence. The Director of Production will work on multiple games, with an internal publishing team, ensuring that milestones are delivered on-time, on-budget and complete as per the approved Development plan, and that the approved submissions maintain alignment with the established Franchise plan.
As a leader, this role will contribute to shaping the Publishing organization culture and refining our production processes.

Responsibilities
Production Process:
Accountable for the team managing the publishing activities associated with console game development projects on their team.
Serve as the executive contact to development teams throughout the production process.
Works collaboratively with development partners and internal staff to help shape product positioning and features.
Oversees the Xbox stakeholder communication.
Oversees the review, and feedback of milestone submissions for assigned products.
Works with Legal (CELA) and Business Management to manage budget against product P&L.
Develops strong relationships with development studios to establish and maintain a reliable and timely flow of information and materials to all parties as necessary for assigned project.
Works with XGSP Executive Producer and developer management to help identify and mitigate project risks.
Identifies and establishes required production group process and workflow improvements to ensure timely and high quality delivery of assigned projects.
Work directly with business development on Developer Agreements when applicable and communicate production related issues to the appropriate parties for assigned projects.
Communication:
Works across the publishing organization to drive accountability for shaping and maintaining product goals and dates.
Coordinates and liaises with all necessary departments and divisions to facilitate execution of projects and materials in a professional manner. This includes keeping Xbox department heads apprised of products status.
Works closely with the appropriate production and other internal Xbox staff to research and identify and/or obtain clearances for all materials needed for the creation of assigned projects.
Keep all key stakeholders informed of product status and vision through the preparation and presentation of appropriate project materials (including milestone updates, work-in-progress presentations, etc.)
Strategic Planning:
Participates in creation of franchise plans; plus establishing and then growing a Community for your game
Implementation and management of production processes, policies and procedures.
Improving and evolving the Xbox Publishing production and organizational management structure, process and procedures.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in production roles in gaming or entertainment industry, or other multi-disciplinary leadership
OR equivalent experience.
3+ years experience in managing budget for large production projects (e.g., several hundred thousand dollars or more).
Experience in full development of at least one major product release.
3+ years experience managing relationships with stakeholders, clients, and/or customers.
3+ years people management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as an Executive Producer or equivalent with game developer or publisher.
3+ years experiencespecifically managing Game Producers and/or Game Developers.
10+ years’ experience in console and/or PC videogame game production; experience shipping PC and/or console games necessary.
Game development experience, through an entire product’s development from Concept to Launch to Live.
Experience in setting, guiding and evaluating multiple styles of production processes.
Experience managing budgets for large multimillion dollar game productions.
Multi-language localization experience.
Experience with Multiplayer & LiveOps games.
Game Producers M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
