Video Editor Contractor (Part Time) The primary role of the Video Editor Contractor is to assist in the production of innovative, creative and culturally relevant video products that communicates the power and the ongoing significance of the gospel of Jesus Christ in our culture. A SNAPSHOT OF RESPONSIBILITIES Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation. Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the video to present to event producer and/or Media Director to receive approval before beginning to digitally alter video. Acquire all scripts, graphics and other elements in addition to coordinating with production and production staff. Produce and edit quick-turn, short- and long-form video packages using Adobe Premiere video creation platform software. Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format, labeled properly and stored accurately in the Churchs video library. Edit video to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips and other important aspects of the project. Improve video and sound quality using various video software in the correct formatting for finalized presentation. Work with video production team to execute project from capturing stand-up, worship recordings, promos and CC events. WHAT YOU WILL NEED Flexibility is vital for this role. Ideal candidate will be expected to work some evenings and weekends as needed. Average weekly hours are expected to be 10-15 per week with possibility for expansion. Good editorial judgment and working knowledge of religious services, current events and social media content. Organization skills that allow multiple projects to be produced simultaneously. Familiarity and experience with various video production formats for mobile and social media platforms. Proficiency and experience with Adobe Premiere and After Effects is essential. Though a degree is not required, the ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in film and/or media production (or a related field). They will need to have experience with Cinematic & Broadcast cameras as well as Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
