Job Description:Berklee College of Music invites applications for a part-time faculty position in the Electronic Production and Design Department. The Department is looking for an electronic music producer with an established professional profile to teach in Berklee's Electronic Production and Design department. The successful candidate will have significant experience as an electronic music producer and sound designer with a proven ability to help students achieve a significant level of expertise in music production.Primary teaching responsibilities will include:Teaching music technology courses within the Electronic Production and Design Department and across the CollegeContributing to curriculum with foundational examples and exercises student advisingThis is a part-time faculty position with the opportunity to teach throughout the academic year with a renewable contract, initial appointment beginning in September, 2024. Compensation is commensurate with professional experience.Experience and QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be an established producer/electronic musician/performer with experience working in a variety of environments, including studios and/or music tech companies, and working collaboratively with other artists. In addition, the successful candidate will have strengths in the following areas:Versatility in a variety of music production settingsIn-depth understanding of a variety of musical genres, including electronic music sub-genresExpertise in developing electronic music studios and technologyAbility to read and write musicSignificant experience using DAWs, such as Logic Pro X and Pro Tools. Ableton Live knowledge is a plus.Experience leading workshops and/or classroom teaching experienceFor this position, a college degree and prior teaching experience is highly desirable as well as excellent collaboration and communication skills.
