Advertising Sales division is large and complex, but these are the general business areas. Ad sales at NBCU Advertising & Partnerships is a multifaceted operation that supports clients through various specialized teams. The Client Team builds and maintains relationships with advertisers, while Ad Strategy and Programmatic ensure targeted and data-driven ad placements. Global Planning and Agency Planning focus on media planning across regions and agencies. Digital Sales Operations handles the technical aspects of digital ad delivery, with Account Services providing client support. Creative Partnerships craft innovative ad content, and Sports Sales capitalizes on NBCU's extensive sports portfolio. Finally, Marketing and Brand Partnerships drive collaborative campaigns, while Data, Measurements, Insights analyze performance to optimize strategies. Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to: Sales: This division consists of our client facing teams. The sellers are responsible for filling all ad space across the entire NBCU portfolio. Within our sales division we also have subject matter experts and research teams that help inform our salespeople. Agency Partnerships: The Agency Partnerships team serves as the central point of contact between NBCU Sales, and the major agency holding companies. This team works in collaboration with the Client Team, Sales, Research, Data, and Marketing teams to create new ways of working with our agency partners to grow revenue for our portfolio of advertising products and services. Client Team: Our goal is to act as a strong and valuable client-direct resource by providing solutions, insights, and thought leadership to help brands better navigate our vast portfolio and discover new and exciting opportunities. This team stewards relationships with our key accounts and categories. Global Sales: This team represents media opportunities across our local networks in the North America, Europe, and Asia – specifically NBCU US Portfolio, CNBC International, Apple News UK, Sky & RTL Ad Connect. Marketing & Brand Partnerships: The Marketing Brand and Partnership teams are responsible for developing creative and custom concepts for different clients. Some teams have the opportunity to work with events, generating marketing solutions for clients like Peacock, and lastly being immersed within NBC Sports Golf partnership initiatives. Communications: From an external communications standpoint, you will support communications responsibilities, including executive communications, media relations and administrative support. Local: The NBC Local Sports Partnership Development team leads the division's local sports strategy and execution. Responsibilities include working with sales teams to create client presentations, organize media plans, research teams and leagues and work with various departments to execute multi platform sports sponsorships. Content Distribution (CDG) is a division of NBCUniversal which drives the North American distribution of NBCUniversal’s multi-billion-dollar broadcast and cable network portfolio, accounting for a large percentage of the total NBCUniversal TV revenue. We ensure NBCUniversal’s networks, Peacock and the Olympics have the widest possible distribution across cable, satellite, telco and streaming distribution platforms that reach more than 90M households (e.g. Comcast, DIRECTV, Verizon, Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, Optimum, Spectrum, etc.). Digital: This team is responsible for managing the day-to-day relationships with NBCUniversal’s distribution partners and networks, tracking content rights, monitoring VOD availability across all VOD platforms, ensuring compliance with distribution deals and successful execution of VOD content on various platforms. The team also leverages initiatives, content curation opportunities, business needs and related analytics to drive digital programming strategy, user engagement and revenue growth. The intern will have exposure to key business and technology drivers that contribute to successful launches and product experiences on VOD platforms. Marketing: The Comms, Marketing, and Strategy team represents the entire NBCU portfolio of networks from broadcast (NBC), to Sports (Golf Channel), to News (MSNBC, CNBC, NBC News), to Entertainment (USA, SYFY), to Lifestyle (Bravo, E!, Oxygen, Universal Kids), to Hispanic (Telemundo, Universo) and also includes major NBCUniversal tentpoles (Olympics, FIFA World Cup). We provide support to our distribution partners on behalf of our networks, ranging from event access, experiential opportunities, and marketing materials/toolkits to help drive awareness for NBCU’s major programming priorities and initiatives across all platforms. Sales: Intern will support the Content Distribution Sales team that negotiates the distribution rights of the NBCUniversal broadcast/cable portfolio, the Peacock app and FAST channels in the United States. Interns will learn about the media landscape and, specifically, how NBCU network distribution contracts are managed. Account support will be focused on, but not limited to, DirecTV, YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Verizon and several other partners. Qualifications Basic Requirements: Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (June 2025 through August 2025). May 2025 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2025 Internship Program. Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits). Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States. Must be willing to work in New York, NY. For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship. Desired Characteristics: Students with class standing of junior or above preferred. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
