Job Description Job Description Description: Miami Children's Museum is looking for a new Afterschool Studio Artist to join their team! The Studio Artist plans, organizes, and leads art activities for children ages 5-10 at the Museum’s various offsite after-school programs. Activities/projects should introduce children to a variety of mediums and materials including but not limited to dance, STEAM, and Spanish. Studio Artists will travel to two or more After School sites during the week. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Develop and lead daily art activities for students in our after-school program. Train After School instructors in the delivery of these activities. Order and prepare supplies for a variety of activities. Ability to work within a variety of themes to create activities that can be incorporated into the Museum's monthly programs. Facilitate art-based learning for children through different art forms and mediums Other duties as assigned. EOE/DFWP Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to create art-based activities with and for children. Experience with art education programs for children. Strong team player with a proactive attitude. Strong knowledge and ability in art. Knowledge of theater and set design. Bachelor's Degree in an art-related field is preferred. Reliable transportation. Minimum of 3 years of sales experience. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.
