Associate Web Image Artist

Company Overview:

A well-established Overland Park Company within the Collegiate Bookstore Market is looking to add to our Digital Photography Team. Experience in this market is highly desirable, but not a necessity. This fun, fast-paced environment is looking for hardworking and energetic people to join our team! Expectations are high, but success is accomplished in an atmosphere of high energy and strong character.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced creative and skilled Web Image Artist to join our onsite Digital Photography Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital art and design with a focus on creating high quality images for web use.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare web images to customer specifications for DTC web sites.
  • Prioritize jobs based on production needs and ship dates
  • Work with a high skill level in Adobe Photoshop.
  • Maintain high technical skill levels using various software programs and digital photography.
  • Modify artwork and template designs as needed
  • Collaborate closely with both in house and outsource production departments
  • Assist with process improvements to create efficiencies in the web image creation process.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail to ensure all web images are correct.
  • Be a solutions provider for difficult projects.
  • Have a heightened sense of urgency to ensure work is completed in a timely fashion.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Photography preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Web Image Artist, Photographer, or similar.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management and an overall strong work ethic.
