Position Overview

Echtra Games is looking for a talented Concept Artist with expertise in environment art to join our growing team on an exciting new cross-platform Action Role Playing Game! You will be working as part of a dedicated team responsible for creating captivating worlds beyond players’ expectations.

Main Responsibilities

1. Visualizing and assisting the Art Director with world building, establishing the game setting, and refining the details
2. Collaborate with the Art Director and Environment Artists to maintain the vision and style of the game
3. Define the look and feel of a game through your concept art

Requirements

1. 3+ years of experience creating high quality environment concept art for video games
2. An outstanding portfolio which demonstrates your command of foundational art skills (drawing, painting, material indication, perspective, lighting, composition, color theory, shape language, and interior/exterior design)
3. Solid understanding and execution of hard surface design (buildings, vehicles, machines)
4. Advanced technical expertise in Photoshop
5. Ability to take direction and feedback from the team as well as contribute your own ideas
6. Demonstrate imaginative and innovative solutions to game situations
7. Possess a creative passion for taking the player outside of their world

Pluses

1. 3D package experience (Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, Zbrush, SketchUp)
2. Experience with licensed IP projects
3. Foundational understanding of the ARPG genre
4. Familiarity with looter shooters
