We are searching for a talented and versatile Audio Engineer to join our Studio and Events Production Team. Our teams have invested in technologies to make our audio capabilities exceptional, and we are looking for an individual to take our audio operations to the next level. This role involves working closely out of our Arlington Headquarters, contributing to field production, and completing post-production audio editing as needed. The ideal candidate will have a keen ear for audio quality, both live and edited and the ability to refine audio workflows in coordination with external vendors as required. In this role, you'll deliver at every aspect of audio: from microphone selection and placement to managing Dante routes and DAW, to boom operation and miking talent. It is essential this candidate is comfortable working independently as the sole audio technician and engineer for a project, in addition to contributing to and leading an audio team for large-scale productions.How You Will ContributeSet up, operate, and maintain audio equipment for studio, live event, and field productions, using systems including Allen and Heath C3500 and DM 48 mixers, DT168, Zaxcom, Sound Devices, Axient, and Dante.Provide audio engineering support for on-site, hybrid, and remote events, ensuring high-quality sound for all audiences and troubleshooting audio interruptions promptly.Support field productions, capturing audio for projects including new segments, podcasts, documentary-style videos, etc.Edit and mix audio for audio visual projects utilizing DAWs such as Pro Tools, Audition, or similar software.Collaborate with onsite and post-production teams to enhance audio quality and ensure consistency across various projects.Work closely with external vendors to refine and optimize audio workflows, contracting additional audio support for projects as required.Manage and continue to build upon a robust audio inventory, specifically a state-of-the-art microphone selection, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition and servicing as needed.Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve audio production quality.Assist in proposal development and contracting for freelance audio support to expand our capacity to serve our clients.Support organization plans to enhance audience experiences and provide concierge-level support for client requests. >What You Will BringMinimum of 3 years of experience in audio engineering for studio and live event productions.Proficiency in operating and maintaining audio equipment, including microphones, mixers, audio interfaces, and advanced systems like Zaxcom, Sound Devices, Axient, Dante, Allen & Heath C3500, DM48, and DT168.Experience with audio editing software such as Pro Tools, Audition, or similar.Strong understanding of audio signal flow, acoustics, and sound reinforcement techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in live production environments.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel for remote event support as needed.Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve high-quality overall productions.What We OfferCompetitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,300 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.Commitment to growth: Thrive in a non-hierarchical environment that empowers employees to discover, develop and apply their unique talents.Competitive compensation: Our approach rewards the value you create through competitive salaries and bonus opportunities, allowing you to share in the success you help drive.Our Values: Working at Stand Together is different from many other organizations.
