This position codes, tests, debugs, documents, and installs new AV software and updates existing ones. This fast-paced position works directly with the Programming team, Project Managers, Engineers and customers to identify opportunities to improve operating effectiveness and efficiency of software applications.The responsibilities of this role may include:Completes assigned software implementation tasks with high quality and on scheduleWrites structured application/interface code from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards for AV systems such as AMX, Crestron and Extron control systemsConducts unit tests of either new or modified AV applicationsUpdates firmware on AV equipmentReads AV drawingsParticipates in code reviews to represent reviewed work for adherence to standards and specificationsWrites or revises program documentation, operations documentation and user guidesProactively monitors the performance of assigned application software and makes approved changes to improve operating efficiency and effectiveness of assigned applicationsProactively diagnoses and corrects applications and software problems and improve operating performanceDocuments new programs or changes to existing programsPerforms preventive and routine maintenanceDesigns touch panel interfacesAssists engineers with system designConfigures digital signal processors, A/V switchers, and other devicesCustomizes systems to our end-user's requirementsIdentifies software/hardware issues and troubleshoots themProvides support for existing systemsPerforms all other duties as assignedTo qualify for this position, you must possess a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or relevant discipline and at least 7 years of AV programming experience.Additional qualifications include:AMX Certified Programmer preferredExtron Authorized Programmer preferredExtron Control Specialist preferredCrestron Masters Certified Programmer preferredAbility to travel to various CONUS and OCONUS locations as requiredWhat sets AV3, Inc. apart?Founded in 2006, AV3 quickly established a reputation of exceeding customer expectations and remains a leading, cutting edge AV and multimedia systems organization.
