Jans Ltd is hiring: Content Writer in Park City

JANS LTD has an opportunity for a part-time content writer to join our ecommerce team in Park City.As a content writer, you will collaborate with the ecommerce team, buyers, and in-store staff to develop content that promotes product and allows customers to make an informed purchase online. You will be responsible for all content displayed on the product detail pages. Thisincludes writing detailed product descriptions and feature bullets, editing and uploading vendor product images, and filling out key tech specs, all of which must meet in-house copy standards. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to write grammatically correct content that effectivelyrelates key selling features and adheres to SEO best practices. Some experience working in. Microsoft Excel and Adobe Photoshop is preferred.Responsibilities:- Write detailed product descriptions for jans.com.- Edit vendor product images to meet in-house standards.- Research and understand outdoor gear and apparel and be able to relate a suitable recommended use for each item.- Ensure product content adheres to SEO best practices.- Take and implement constructive feedback from an editor and other stakeholders.- Collaborate with the marketing team on content strategies and campaigns to increase online traffic and sales.- Communicate with vendor contacts and reps in a friendly and professional manner.- Assist with writing blog posts and key info or other web pages as needed.Qualifications- Demonstrated ability to write grammatically correct copy that adheres to in-house copy standards and brand voice guidelines.- Basic understanding of Photoshop, Excel, Google Drive, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.- Experience using outdoor gear, technical outerwear, and lifestyle accessories.- Previous outdoor industry or retail experience preferred.- Must be able to commute to and work in Park City ~20 hours per week.
