Built around five professional sports leagues: the NBA, WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League, and Basketball Africa League, the NBA has established a major international presence with games and programming available in 214 countries and territories in 60 languages.This is a temporary position with an expected duration not to exceed (10) months.Position Summary:This position is part of the NBA Social & Digital Content team which focuses on identifying, creating, distributing, and publishing content to the NBA's social and digital platforms. The ideal candidate is an active consumer of Threads or similar social platforms and knows all the platform features, the latest trends, and how to create content for the platform.Major Responsibilities:Publish content to the NBA on Threads by uploading video, still imagery, or text-based content during real-time game coverage and for additional content franchises.Assist with content planning for Threads.Review content metrics and implement platform feedback to optimize content performance.Monitor NBA team and player Threads pages for amplification on the NBA’s Threads account.Monitor trends on the platform.Assist with similar publishing responsibilities on additional Meta platforms (Threads, Instagram, Facebook) when needed.Manage publishing and amplification around community engagements and activations on the Threads platform.Required Skills/Knowledge:Knowledge of Threads at an expert level, including platform trends and publishing metrics.Experience publishing to Facebook or a similar social content platform for a sports brand or media organization.Knowledge of the NBA at an expert level, including storylines surrounding players, teams, and league events.Strong editorial background in basketball and basketball culture.Good understanding of the NBA’s social voice.Ability to work on deadline and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.Must be a team player who can work collaboratively.Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.Education:• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field preferred.Salary Range: $2,307.69/biweeklyThe NBA does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or any other third parties.
