We are looking for a full-time design Drafter with three or more years of CAD Design and Drafting Experience. Advanced experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD Software preferred.
Responsibilities:
Develop and refine highly detailed CAD models and assemblies from conceptual sketches, group discussions and direction from project engineers.
Use SolidWorks to create detail and assembly drawings, customer and supplier CAD models, and document engineering specifications for mechanical components and assemblies.
Coordinate and consult with engineers and others to modify and revise designs to correct design problems, operating deficiencies, or to reduce production problems.
Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs.
Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components using computer-assisted equipment.
Layout, draw, and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Requirements:
Three or more years of CAD Design and Drafting experience
Advanced experience with SolidWorks3D Cad Software
Strong understanding of GD&T
Excellent knowledge of mechanical design and drafting principles
Preferred component design experience and understanding of manufacturing requirements with more than one of the following types of parts: Die castings, stampings, plastic injection moldings, machined, and molded rubber
