Well-established, boutique luxury residential interior design firm seeks a Project Manager with a minimum of 6 years of high-end experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, detail oriented, client-savvy and able to work independently, as they will oversee large residential projects, for a discerning clientele, from concept through installation.RESPONSIBILITIES OF SENIOR DESIGNER / PROJECT MANAGER:Extensive experience managing design projects from start to finish, including design conceptualization and development, space planning, client and vendor relationshipsDevelop presentations, schemes and budgets for new projects with Senior Designer/Principal, specifying FF&E, purchasing, construction documents and construction management, etc.Negotiate fees and set schedules for projectsCreate quotes and execute purchase ordersCommunicate extensively with vendors and clientsManage contractors, coordinate and oversee installationsManage and oversee several projects concurrentlySource fabrics, furniture, lighting, fixtures, tile, plumbing fittings and fixtures, and accessoriesManage and oversee junior designers, expediters, drafters/architects and internsREQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS OF SENIOR DESIGNER / PROJECT MANAGER:Four-year degree from an accredited interior design program.6+ years of related experience in designing high-end residential projectsSignificant experience in all aspects of the FF&E process from design, sourcing, purchasing, tracking and installationHigh proficiency in AutoCAD a mustProficiency in Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Studio IT software for creating proposals and tracking furniture items a plusAbility to sketch and visualize initial design concepts hand rendering skills a plusExcellent presentation skillsCreative and flexible in design approachExcellent eye for both presentation design and sourcingAbility to work independently or as part of a teamHighly organized with the ability to juggle several tasks in a fast-paced environmentSome travel requiredTo apply for this position, please submit:your resume, and three professional references, as outlined below.All experience, references and statements related to your application or candidacy are presumed to be truthful and accurate and are subject to validation.
