Position Summary

Our award-winning interior design studio is searching for a talented, passionate, and highly creative project manager to join our team. Candidates should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an Interior Design or Interior Architecture program and should have a minimum of 8 years of design experience. The ability to express innovation and excitement about design ideas is a must. Experience in the multifamily or hospitality design industry is a plus. The ideal candidate should be creative, have the desire to take initiative, and should have the ability to multi-task between different projects. You will be required to express your ideas both visually and verbally.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and collaborate with your project team to create and develop projects from concept through construction administration, and FF&E installation
  • Be able to navigate the construction process and successfully execute the design
  • Be knowledgeable of the latest industry trends and an active participant in industry events
  • Be an active participant and a positive influence on the creative culture of the studio
  • Lead and communicate with the client and client’s team throughout the design and construction process
  • Manage resources and drive projects successfully through the design process
  • Be able to conceptualize ideas for projects and communicate them clearly and strategically with clients
  • Plan and strategize appropriate timelines, budgets, and schedules for the team and each project
  • Along with your team, create, produce, and manage detailed design drawings using Revit or AutoCAD
  • Select, specify, and design interior finishes as well as FF&E
  • Participate and lead meetings and presentations and possess strong presentation skills
  • Be expected to apply creativity, enthusiasm, and passion to your work
  • Mentor junior designers and team members
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Travel locally during the business day, some overnight travel for client meetings or site visits and FF&E installations


Qualifications

  • Have at least 8 years of interior design experience
  • Hold a degree from an accredited Interior Design program
  • Have experience leading multiple intermediate to large-sized projects at the same time
  • Have experience managing complex client accounts
  • Have experience presenting to clients and/ or the client’s team
  • Be proficient in creating and reviewing drawing sets in Revit or AutoCAD
  • Be proficient in anticipating the next steps and orienting the team to appropriate goals
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • NCIDQ certification is strongly preferred
