Design Assistant/Sample Assistant

Rate:

1. $50K- $55K (based on experience)

Location:

Fully Onsite- Monday- Friday in Gardena, CA (this is firm)

• Job Description:

Responsibilities:

- Create tech packs and CADs of new styles, ensuring accurate and detailed specifications.

- Coordinate sample tracking from pattern maker to sample sewers and wash house.

- Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and on-trend designs.

- Conduct research on current fashion trends, fabrics, trims, and techniques.

- Assist in sourcing materials and communicating with suppliers.

- Support the design team in preparing presentations for meetings.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field.

- Previous experience as a design assistant or sample coordinator preferred.

- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).

- Strong technical skills to create accurate tech packs and CADs.

- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
