Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.HDR is looking for an experienced Project Manager - Facilities Design to join the Building Engineering Services Business Group in Charlotte, NC. This individual must have at least 10 years of progressive experience leading design teams focused on facility projects through the planning, design, permitting and construction phases. They will perform client development and management activities to support our design center in Charlotte, NC. They will need to be skilled in communicating with clients, leading multi-discipline design teams through large projects, coordinating with sub-consultants, delivering projects on time and within budget. On a day-to-day basis, they will be expected to:Function as Project Manager, and take responsibility for executing projects and managing and developing multidiscipline teams, utilizing HDR’s business systems and project management toolsBuild team technical expertise and design production capacity through recruitment, staff development and trainingHave the opportunity to lead and mentor other staffParticipate in leadership for external marketing and planningTravel regionally/nationally as neededPerform contract preparation and negotiation, scheduling, budgeting, invoicing, and project quality control*LI-SM1Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline requiredMinimum of 10 years of related engineering experience, 5 of which must be in project managementMicrosoft Office Suite experience is requiredExcellent communication, leadership and planning skills, and the ability to thrive in a team environmentStrong skills in preparing client presentations, project memoranda and reportsAttitude and commitment to being an active participant of an employee-owned culturePreferred QualificationsLocal candidates (Charlotte in particular) are preferredWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
