About the Role:
As a CAD Designer, you will work on a variety of design executions. Activities include, but are not limited to, using CAD equipment to provide support to Design Engineers by preparing routine layouts, detail drawings, assemblies, sketches, and diagrams. This position requires interactions with design engineers, but may also include other functional groups, particularly Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, and Sales.

Your Profile:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Design; Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Effective communication skills
- Experience working with SolidWorks CAD and PLM system(s)
- Knowledge with ANSI standards
- Knowledge with ASME drafting standards
- Knowledge with sheet metal design
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- SAP experience is beneficial
- Ability to complete CSWA certification, CSWP is preferred
Your Responsibilities:
- Create models and drawings for engineering designs meeting customer and production requirements
- Develop content for Customer Parts Books
- Identify and recommend solutions to the Engineers per the provided design package
- Apply Wabash Best Practices for CAD and PLM system interaction
- Review standard models and drawings before release for usability and coverage
- Ability to complete Wabash Hazmat training
- Ability to understand and apply Wabash Engineering CAD standards
- Ability to learn and apply applicable codes and standards at a basic level (FMVSS, 3A Sanitary Code, DOT Codes, Etc. as applicable to the product line)
