Job Requisition ID #24WD83087Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Manager of Experience Design to lead the design efforts for both the Autodesk Assistant and our Account platforms. This role requires a leader with deep experience in conversational UI, as well as expertise in managing complex design projects related to user accounts, renewals, and subscription management.The Senior Manager will work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and other design leaders to ensure that we are creating high-quality, consistent experiences that align with our users’ needs and the company’s business objectives. You will mentor and guide a talented team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence. This is a unique opportunity to impact millions of users, defining and shaping the next generation of Autodesk’s conversational and account experiences.You will report into the Vice President of User Experience, Digital Platform. You will be a hybrid employee reporting into a hub office with a preference in the Pacific Time Zone.ResponsibilitiesLead the design team for the Autodesk Assistant, driving the development of best-in-class conversational UI experiences for our usersOversee the design efforts for the Account & Subscription Management platform, focusing on ease of use, customer retention, and renewal processesCollaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute a comprehensive design strategy that meets both user and business needsAdvocate for user-centered design approaches, leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to inform design decisions and continuous improvementMentor and guide a team of experience designers, fostering professional growth, cross-functional collaboration, and setting a high bar for design qualityConduct regular design reviews, usability testing, and audits to ensure consistency, accessibility, and alignment with Autodesk’s design standardsStay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure Autodesk’s products remain innovative and competitiveMinimum Qualifications8+ years of experience in experience design, with at least 4 years of leadership experience managing design teamsProven experience in designing conversational UI (e.g., chatbots, voice assistants) and familiarity with platforms such as Alexa, Siri, or Google AssistantStrong background in UX for complex, data-driven applications, especially in user account management and subscription workflowsExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly to cross-functional stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to lead design teams in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentPassion for user-centered design and a deep understanding of balancing user needs with business objectivesExperience in creating and implementing design systems, ensuring consistency across products and platformsPreferred QualificationsExperience working on conversational UI for major platforms like Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, or Google AssistantKnowledge of user account management and subscription systems, including renewals and payment workflowsFamiliarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional product development teamsLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $160,500 and $259,600. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
