Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager

My client is currently seeking a Senior Bridge Structural Engineer to perform bridge design and QA/QC tasks. We provide Bridge, Transportation, Construction Support, Water/Wastewater, Site/Civil, Building Systems, Design-Build, Survey/Mapping, and Technology services to a host of public and private clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering tasks related to bridge design projects and other transportation-related structural design and analysis projects.
  • Design steel, concrete, and/or timber bridge elements, walls, and associated structures.
  • Perform structural analyses, develop calculations, and prepare plans in accordance with federal, state, and local agency requirements.
  • Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and special provisions.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of calculations, special provisions, and plans prepared by others.
  • May perform site visits and structure inspections from time to time.
  • Manage and maintain project and QA/QC documentation.
  • Assist project managers with assignments including schedule and budget updates and proposal preparation

  • Qualifications:

    • BS in Civil Engineering.
    • Minimum experience of 7 to 10 years in bridge design, with specific experience on DOT projects. NBIS bridge inspection and/or load rating experience will also be considered.
    • PE license.
    • Proficiency with MicroStation. OpenRoads Bridge Modeler/OpenBridge is a plus.
    • DOT CBSI is a plus.
    • Must have excellent technical, verbal, interpersonal and meticulous written communication skills.
