JOB DESCRIPTION
Role requires experience in Drafting and 3D modeling in CREO and also autoCAD/Draftsight. Knowledge of good drafting practices including GD&T is a must.
Role is required to be on sight at Brooklyn Park 4 days a week, Monday thru Thursday, along with the rest of the CS R&D team. Individual will be on site 5 days initially until trained and proficient. . Once the individual is trained and proficient there is flexibility to WFH on specific instances for work/life balance needs as they come up such as appointments.,
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Plans, lays outs, draws, models and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation engineering drawings from basic layouts, established references, and standard data for medical devices, parts, assemblies and packaging. Utilizes computeraided design equipment and/or graphic tools, specifically 3D CAD software CREO and most be familiear with autoCad/Draftsight as well as familiarity with PDM link. Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by others in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices and use of GD&T. Determines scaling; inserts necessary reference planes, centering and dimension lines, hidden line interpolations, and sectioning; prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations; prepares complete production detail drawings; contributes design modifications to improve quality of product or facilitate manufacturing operations. TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides technical support in areas such as process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes. DIFFERENTIATING FACTORS Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor who can communicate efficiently and work under limited supervision and direction from engineers and senior Designers. Organizational Impact: Performs technical activities requiring considerable judgment and may have ownership of minor projects and designs. Work consists of technical tasks that are typically not routine. Innovation and Complexity: Technical problems faced are general, and may require some analysis to understand and resolve. Expected to independently propose solutions to problems for review. Communication and Influence: Communicates typically with internal contacts and team members. Obtains and provides technical information on matters of moderate importance to the job area. Leadership and Talent Management: Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area. Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires complete and broad knowledge of operational systems, techniques and practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or education. Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience preferred.
