Responsibilities
The Instructional Designer’s primary role is to develop online training courses and modules for a remote audience using digital and eLearning authoring software tools. This individual is responsible for developing and communicating course development standards, strategies, and content to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), coworkers, learners, and other key stakeholders across the organization. This individual works onsite at our Support Center.
Guide Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) through the course development process to create new eLearning courses and update existing online training materials.
- Establish a project plan timeline and milestones for each course development and regularly communicate progress to all stakeholders.
- Revise course content based upon feedback provided through internal review processes.
- Write and edit narration scripts; record, produce, and edit video, screencasts, and audio for use in eLearning courses.
- Research internal systems, tools, and processes in order to produce training instructions.
- Assist with the testing and deployment of new technology and training delivery methods.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports that measure curriculum completion and compliance.
- Create benchmarks to measure continuous improvement of new and existing training programs.
- Provide recommendations to improve the success of all Atria onboarding positions.
- Manage enrollments, course catalogs, reports, and other facets of the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Assist with troubleshooting LMS system issues.
- Manage day-to-day needs and requests for information from the LMS from end users and other stakeholders.
- May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in developing eLearning training programs and materials.
- Two (2) or more years of project management experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Articulate Storyline required.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and Audition preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong knowledge of eLearning standards and Adult Learning Theory.
