Robert Half is partnering with a Fortune 100 eCommerce enterprise in search of an experienced Graphic Designer to join their team in San Francisco. This 3-month contract position strongly prefers candidates local to San Francisco, though remote candidates open to occasional travel to the area may also be considered. Ideal candidates should possess a strong portfolio showcasing their design experience, particularly in digital and web environments.

Location: San Francisco, CA (Remote flexibility but must be able to travel to San Fran)

Duration: 3-month contract

Hours: 40 hours/week

Pay Rate: $58-63/hour

Job Overview:

The Graphic Designer will work on the developer experience team, contributing to high-impact visual assets for an annual event. This role will involve creating a variety of designs, including presentations, social promotions, video content, swag, and signage. The designer will work closely with product teams and stakeholders to understand user journeys, identify design needs, and deliver visually compelling, on-brand graphics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create Branded Visuals: Design promotional graphics aligned with existing style guides and brand standards.
• Optimize Digital Assets: Ensure images are web-ready, optimized for efficiency, and maintain quality for fast download speeds.
• Develop Design Templates: Create and refine graphic templates and style guides that enhance project consistency and visual appeal.
• Manage Multiple Projects: Handle several design requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Maintain strong communication with team members to align on project objectives and design requirements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years in a web production or digital design environment.
• Education: BA/BS in Design or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, with a working knowledge of Dreamweaver/HTML/CSS.
• Knowledge of Flash and ActionScript is a plus.
• Video and illustration skills are beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage projects independently with a self-motivated approach.
