JOB SUMMARY FOR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER:

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER:


  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine content development needs and solutions.
  • Develop, write, and coordinate learning materials with subject matter experts.
  • Function as a Project or Program Manager to implement learning efforts.
  • Curate learning sources to support broad employee and talent pools.
  • Partner with account teams to develop product and services training for Samsung Mobile and Mobile Computing.
  • Ensure program implementation with facilitators.
  • Manage and provide reporting across the training organization.
  • Understand technology solutions and operations from a learning perspective.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE FOR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER:


  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6-10 years of directly related experience.
  • Experience in developing and planning employee training programs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with individuals and groups to achieve training goals.
  • Strong team orientation and dedication to team success.



SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER:


  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Instructional design experience supporting retail/sales, including e-learning and rapid design principles.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles (Bloom’s Taxonomy, Experiential development & facilitation).
  • Understanding of design models (ADDIE, SAM), virtual facilitation tools (Adobe Connect, Webex), content management systems, and learning management systems.
  • Expertise with e-Learning authoring tools such as Storyline and/or Adobe Captivate.
  • Proficiency with Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Office products, and Adobe Design Premium (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Experience with Captivate, Camtasia, Flash, HTML5, Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
  • Ability to build graphics and rapid video development.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and emerging learning technology.
  • Ability to design and develop AR/VR content.
  • Ability to design and develop web-based content and maintain websites.
  • Experience in retail customer service and/or sales is highly desired.
