Are you a creative designer with a passion for bringing brands to life through visual storytelling? Blue

Plate Catering is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. In this role,

you’ll work closely with all departments, especially sales and culinary, to design, produce, and

implement print, digital, and video assets. We’re a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your

ideas and creativity can thrive.


Position Summary:

Blue Plate Catering is seeking a creative and talented Graphic Designer to help elevate our brand,

marketing communications and sales efforts. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Graphic Designer

will manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining brand standards across all

materials.


Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the creation of innovative and on-brand visual marketing communications efforts for social media, email, web, advertising, video, research reports, etc.
  • Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across various mediums, maintaining Blue Plate’s identity standards.
  • Responsible for the design of Blue Plate sales collateral including RFP responses, proposals, menus, presentations, flyers, brochures, research reports, event signage, etc.
  • Organize and maintain Blue Plate’s digital assets, including files and image libraries.
  • Refine and manage Blue Plate’s design processes to enhance creative output and workflow efficiency.
  • Work closely with external partners, such as photographers, videographers, food stylists, and printers, to produce high-quality materials.
  • Actively contribute to the creative process during team meetings by asking questions, voicing opinions, and thoughtfully interacting with the team to creatively problem-solve for the task at hand.
  • Manage all assigned marketing project requests for completion by agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as required or assigned.
  • Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Requirements:

Education & Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Graphic Design; either within an agency, design studio, or in-house marketing team.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide variety of design styles and executions; experience with consumer goods, catering or branded experience is a plus.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment; performs under minimal daily supervision, receiving guidance from Marketing Manager or VP of Marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and willingness to learn existing/new workflows preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in terms of communication, both written and verbal. Team player.
  • Able to operate successfully and quickly adapt within a lean, dynamic, fast-paced organization
  • Passion and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture
  • High-level of proficiency in design, web and multimedia software and applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva.
  • Photography and videography skills are highly desirable.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently. Bilingual skills preferred.
