This position will develop (design and maintain) presentations via PowerPoint, or any other technology, to support executive leadership, project proposals, and JobsOhio's ten sectors. This position reports to the Director, Presentation Design and will collaborate directly with executive team members, events, creative services, and research teams to execute accurate and timely work. The Presentation Designer will be able to effectively communicate complicated ideas in visually compelling and effective ways including infographics - data analysis and data visualization.The Presentation Designer will take information, including abstract or complex concepts and data, and make it memorable and compelling through creative visuals and storytelling. They must have the ability to communicate information and data effectively with the use of concept mock-ups and execution of charts, graphs, diagrams, motion graphics, etc. - making data and content feel digestible and memorable.This is a hands-on role requiring demonstrated skill in graphic design and data visualization. We will request a portfolio with examples of your creative approach and finished work.Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the development and maintenance of customized templates that are rich in detail, animation, and graphics to ensure a consistent brand for the enterpriseDevelop and design presentations that advance key business objectives and tell the story through clean, concise, and well-organized contentSupport executive, project, business development, and sector teams with internal and external facing presentations and communication tools in coordination with Director, Presentation Design and Director, Creative ServicesCollaborate cross-functionally to obtain up-to-date data to design for presentationsUse current data analysis, graphic design, and appropriate graphics and technology tools to present information in a way that is accurate, accessible, and appealingStay informed and educated on new features and developments in Adobe Creative SuiteSupport consistent brand standard implementation across all touch points and audience experiencesAttention to detail, review and proof designs for errors before distributionHave and maintain a contemporary knowledge of design theory and tactics, including a keen eye and skill for typography, color and style. Additionally perform design audits and other research and information gathering to inform designExpand, update, and maintain various JobsOhio brand assets in coordination with Director, Presentation Design and Director, Creative ServicesBe a proactive and cooperative team member who can also work independently and have a track record of creating and consistently meeting project deadlinesUnderstanding of content in presentations and the technology to support the live production of presentations as neededQualifications Experience Requirements3-5 years of design and visual communication presentation experienceInnate creativity, design skills, and strong copy writing skills demonstrating the ability to transform complex ideas and messages into simple and comprehendible deliverablesAbility to transform key data points and metrics into visually appealing charts, graphs, etc.Expertise in PowerPoint with a focus on presentation developmentHighly proficient with Microsoft OfficeHighly proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc)Strong cross-functional team relationship management and able to work in a highly collaborative environmentAbility to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt and react quickly to unexpected changes and situationsExcellent time-management and organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize projects based on deadlines and highest attention neededStrong attention to detail and an excellent communicatorEngaged, flexible, self-motivated and success drivenAbility to manage challenging situations and stakeholdersCapable of critical thinking, with an eye for creative detailAbility to accept constructive feedback and required edits on work and promptly apply to work productExperience in traditional, digital and emerging mediasStrong communication, presentation, and verbal skillsEducation RequirementsBA/BS in visual communications, graphic design, or design related field preferred.JobsOhio is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
