Summary

Under the direction of the Lead Product Design Engineer, the CAD Designer prepares CAD drawings to include flat patterns and all dimensions required to fabricate a part, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Works with the Lead Product Design Engineer and Project Engineers to develop drawings and documents per AGRA Industries specifications and projects scope.

2. Prepares CAD drawings to include flat patterns and all dimensions required to fabricate parts.

3. Develops CAD drawings of piece parts, weldments, and entire machines using electronic layouts, prints, drawings and other sources.

4. Creates approval drawings, shop drawings and field drawings per project scope.

5. Completely fills out control sheets after each design along with completed drawings.

6. Ensures that serial number sheet is completed before product is delivered when required.

7. Revises drawings as directed by Engineering or Lead Product Design Engineer and follow through with AGRA Industries revision policy.

8. Releases drawings to shop floor as directed by the Lead Product Design Engineer or Project Engineers.

9. Takes ownership of assignments to ensure accuracy and completeness of drawings and documents per AGRA Industries specifications.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Requires one to two years of technical college and up to six months of related experience; or four years of high school and one to three years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.

Other Qualifications

Requires the ability to operate a CAD system, including related hardware and software, and traditional drafting equipment. Requires ability to 3D CAD layouts to generate production drawings. Requires the ability to develop a complete knowledge of the Company’s drafting standards and other documentation standards as they apply to the industry.
