The SLS will be NASA's largest and most powerful rocket to date, taking astronauts back to the Moon and beyond! This is a full-time/benefitted opportunity with Cimarron.This is an onsite position.Key Duties :Support the tooling legacy readiness and the tooling executability assessment of the respective job.Perform an assessment of tooling development to determine when all of the required tooling definitions will need to be released.Provide status updates for in-work and completed work tasks weekly and monthly in the Program Status Report.Support efforts across multiple program disciplines with a focus on efficiency, timely execution, and design producibility.Develop, integrate, and document requirements of systems designs.Perform duties such as the verification of structural integrity, characteristics, and performance of product designs by the needed dates as posted in the IMS and submit status as part of the Program Status Report by the end of the period of performance.Develop part layouts per blueprint drawings, and complete layouts by the needed dates as posted in the IMS and submit status as part of the Program Status Report by the end of the period of performance.Create documents and presentations on the current state of work in support of meetings or reviews as requested.Support the development of legacy project tool engineering requirements.Develop or support related legacy equipment and tooling designs.Complete assigned legacy tool/equipment design and acquisition projects.Analyze technical data and use engineering judgment to proceed forward with projects.Lead gated design reviews.Develop plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spare parts.Develop workarounds in emergent situations.Support of manufacturing operations as a tool engineering point of contact for legacy tools.Provide periodic legacy tool project status/metrics.Communicate with management for assistance needed to remove any roadblocks to completing the legacy tool statement of work (SOW).Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and EducationRequired Skills, Experience, and Education: Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for marijuana use.4 or more years of related experience.Must be detail-oriented - highly observant with the ability to complete tasks in a focused and analytical manner.Experience with a CAD program (ex. CATIA, Creo(Pro-E), Solidworks, AutoCAD).Experience supporting manufacturing operations.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to update drawings in MS Word or Adobe PDF.Experience creating TUIs and Maintenance documents.Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited course of study.Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: Prior experience as a stress engineer.Previous aerospace experience.Business Profile:Cimarron is a global solutions company with a strategic partnering approach to satisfying customer-driven requirements.
