Position Summary
The Event Designer will be responsible for the design and execution of events. They will focus on event details, creating an style or brand for the event.
Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages sales inquiries from point of inception through event execution.
- Qualifies business, responds to leads and prepares custom proposals based on client’s needs and budget.
- Manages, maintains, assigns, and solicits accounts to achieve a monthly sales goal.
- Responds to client inquiries providing responsive and knowledgeable customer service.
- Develops productive and mutually benefiting business relationships.
- Schedules and attends site-visits, outside sales calls, and event tastings.
- Enters and tracks sales and events information in CaterXpert.
- Manages multiple clients and responsibilities, while meeting deadlines.
- Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall
- needs of the business”.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3-5 years of Catering/Event Sales experience is required.
- Solid portfolio of previously and successfully managed events, such as weddings, parties, corporate events, and meetings are desired.
- Ability to function independently and intuitively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and time management skills.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to sell ideas to clients, management, etc. is desired.
- Knowledge of food, beverage, and event management is required.
- Must have an eye for details and ability to think deeply about consumer journey and how to give clients an awesome experience.
- Proven ability to anticipate and solve problems related to production timeline and creativity is needed.
- Possess positive attitude with the ability and willingness to work with clients and professionals from
- other departments of the company.
- Excellent team management skills to work effectively in a team setting and to lead a team if assigned to do so.
- Strong ability to manage several projects together independently is a must.
- Must possess a strong ability to utilize MS Office products effectively.
