Together, we are EXP.Are you ready to design your future?Be our next Mechanical DesignerYour work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Mechanical team , for Hospitality, Entertainment, Federal and Healthcare HVAC Design projects in the Maitland FL office.What a day at EXP has in store for youPerform hands-on CAD using AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit platformsPerform heating and cooling load calculations with industry software (Trace, Energy Pro, DOE)Select and schedule equipment with oversight by senior staffLayout air and water side systems on working drawingsUnderstand fan and pump curves to properly select equipment for applicationCommunicate with equipment vendors to determine requirements for applying productsPerform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projectsCoordinate with other disciplines (mep, fp, arch, struct, etc) for HVAC detailsMaintain the Engineering Calculation Book for projectsUnderstand work planning and manage design process to the available hours in work planUnderstand both constant and variable flow systems, and properly apply equipmentWhat your experience looks like 0 to 2 years in designing HVAC systems for Hospitality, Entertainment and Healthcare projects or recent graduate with internship experience in the HVAC field for construction projects, including HVAC, piping, and plumbing.A Engineering Bachelor's degree specializing in HVAC/Mechanical EngineeringAuto CAD, REVIT MEP familiarGood Written and verbal communicationEIT Certification is desired.About UsOur storyWith a mission to understand, innovate, partner and deliver, EXP provides engineering, architecture, design and consulting services to the world's built and natural environments.Our heritage dates back to 1906, when the earliest of EXP's predecessor companies started its engineering infrastructure practice.
