In this position, you will be responsible for creating visual content that aligns with our brand identity and marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a meticulous eye for effective design. You will work closely with the marketing and content teams to deliver compelling designs for various digital and print media. The Southern Bank Patch illustrates these ideals.Ensures the confidentiality of customer non-public personal information and secures information systems to comply with bank regulations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE AREAS Design and produce a wide range of digital and print materials, including advertisements, banners, flyers, brochures, newsletters, infographics, social media graphics, posters, and website visuals.Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and execute design projects that support marketing campaigns and business objectives.Maintain and uphold brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all design projects.Create and edit visual content for internal and external communications.Assist in the production and layout of company publications.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.Design infographics and data visualizations that simplify complex information and communicate key financial data and insights effectively.Coordinate with external vendors and printers to ensure print materials are produced to high standards, including overseeing proofing and print quality.Stay updated with design trends, tools, and technologies to bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to projects.Receive feedback from stakeholders and incorporate revisions and improvements into design work, ensuring final deliverables meet expectations and objectives.Proactively seek opportunities to improve design processes, workflows, and efficiencies with the team and across the organization.Ensure all design work complies with regulatory requirements and industry standards, including legal disclaimers and disclosures.Uphold the values, ethics, and mission and vision of Southern Bank in all design work and interactions.WORK ARRANGEMENTThe position can be located at various Southern Bank branches (subject to available space) and work arrangements for this position may be flexible.QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Proficient in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc).Proven experience with a portfolio of strong paid advertising work.Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout principles.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.Self-directed and driven.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, Visual Arts, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience.CORE COMPETENCIES Building Trust: Interacting with others in a way that gives them confidence in one's intentions and those of the organization.Customer Focus: Ensuring that the customer perspective is a driving force behind business decisions and activities; crafting and implementing service practices that meet customers' and own organization's needs.Contributing to Team Success: Actively participating as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals.
