By leveraging their expertise in CAD and Trane Technologies proprietary software, they will help bring a customer’s expectations to life.Thrive at work and at home:Benefits kick in on DAY ONE for you and your family, including health insurance and holistic wellness programs that include generous incentives – WE DARE TO CARE!Family building benefits include fertility coverage and adoption/surrogacy assistance.401K match up to 6%, plus an additional 2% core contribution = up to 8% company contribution.Paid time off, including in support of volunteer and parental leave needs.Educational and training opportunities through company programs along with tuition assistance and student debt support.Learn more about our benefits here (https://careers.tranetechnologies.com/global/en/benefits) !Where is the work:This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule (3 or more days onsite per week) based out of Lexington, KY.What you will do:Utilize Boolean logic to drive parametric CAD models using proprietary Trane Technologies softwareUnderstand and adhere to design and drafting standard practicesWork from oral or written engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketchesComplete assignments and detect and correct own errors.Maintain competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company-provided training and materialsProduces designs and documentation utilizing computer design and product life cycle management systems.Review orders to ensure they are error free prior to being built in the shopDevelop a good working knowledge and familiarity of design and drafting standard practices, methods and processesAbility to lead small segments of large projects with responsibility for completion of assignments. Exercise sound judgment in recognition of potential design problems. Detects and corrects own errors.Must be customer driven, innovative and quality minded in performance of all assigned duties.Develop and exercise good communication skills.Maintains awareness and adheres to all company safety and security policies and procedures.May be required to travel to various locations to support products or train other personnel.What you will bring:Associates degree or 4+ years of experience using computer aided graphic solutions in lieu of degreeExperience in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor, or ProEngineerProgramming experience a plusWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office productsMust understand basic principles of designing equipment, drafting, and computer-aided design and apply principles to assigned tasksMust be able to function in a technical engineering team environmentMust have the ability to handle multiple, varied tasks simultaneouslyMust be able to adjust to changing demands, priorities and objectivesCompensation:Base Pay Range: $55,000-$65,000Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages.
