UX Designer Job at smartdept. inc. in Vernon Hills

smartdept. is searching for a UX Designer for a financial services client located in Riverwoods, IL. The ideal candidate will come with 5+ years of experience. This is a full-time, fully remote, 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension. Compensation for this position is expected to be $52-$62/hour depending on experience level and fit.

Responsible for product design across websites and apps that deliver on business strategies and delight customers. As part of a cross-functional product team this person will design experiences that are easy to use, accessible and exhibit strong visual design. They will use qualitative and quantitative data to help understand problems and define solutions.

What You’ll Do:

• Develops design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and other UX / UI design deliverables in Figma and other tools
• Understands the target users’ needs, motivations, and behaviors as it relates to a specific project or area.
• Seeks to improve skills with a continuous learning and improvement mindset
• Monitors the competitive landscape to understand customer expectations and to spot opportunities for innovation.
• Designs production ready materials and release files.
• Partners with key stakeholders including business owners, product owners, technology, legal, and research to design
• Partners with frontend and backend engineers to translate design into code.

What You’ll Need:

• Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • 5+ years experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services or healthcare
  • Figma, UX/UI and JIRA experience
  • Mobile design
