Summary
We are hiring a Staff Landscape Architect or Landscape Designer to support our Land Development team in Denver or Colorado Springs! Our landscape architects utilize various plant materials to create, define, enhance, and control exterior spaces – selecting the right plants for the right condition.
In this role, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to design aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor spaces. You will use your knowledge of plants, sustainable design principles, and hardscape materials to create innovative and environmentally responsible designs for residential, commercial, and public projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct detail design phases of professional work using relevant office software, modeling, graphics, and CADD technology.
- Works with CADD Technicians or junior professional staff in order to complete design details and plan sets.
- Performs research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of project work or inspection.
- Completes construction observation, inspection and data collection duties.
- Develop project specifications that meet the needs of clients.
- Communicates with client and internal design team.
- Compiles and analyzes data on such site conditions as geographic location; soil, vegetation, and rock features; drainage; and location of structures for preparation of environmental impact report and development of landscaping plans.
- Prepares site plans, working drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for land development, showing ground contours, vegetation, locations of structures, and such facilities as roads, walks, parking areas, fences, walls, and utilities, coordinating arrangement of existing and proposed land features and structures.
- Monitors construction and supervises field personnel assigned to a task, data collection or a specific project.
Education/Experience
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited four-year university.
- May possess three and seven years of relevant landscape architecture experience.
- Basic knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.) and Land F/X or AutoCAD required.
- Experience with Adobe Suite, SketchUp or InDesign preferred.
- Experience with residential and commercial land development projects preferred.

Compensation Range
$60,000.00 to $85,400.00
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).
