Our rapidly-growing construction company is in need of a creative, full-time CAD designer to bring our client’s dreams to life! You’ll serve as our primary architectural drafter and produce original, computer-generated designs in 2D and 3D. Additional responsibilities include meeting with clients, integrating feedback, and revising designs as requested.


Communication skills are a must in this role, as you’ll be regularly communicating the design progress to the construction team. Applicants should be experienced design engineers who enjoy highly detailed work, are passionate about working on a project from start to finish, and want to grow their careers in the construction industry. Compensation:

$18 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Revise designs according to feedback from clients and construction managers
  • Perform simulations and stress tests on all 3D models before prototyping
  • Research material properties in large databases to identify the best materials for modeling
  • Meet with clients during the beginning of the project to get project specifications and scope
  • Create budgets and timelines for the design project by working with other construction team members
Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of architectural design software, such as AutoCAD, AutoDesk BIM, Solidworks, 3DS Max, Chief Architect Premier: Construction Drawings, SketchUp, and Lumion
  • Highly attuned to detail and possess excellent teamwork, organizational, and communication skills
  • Must have 2+ years of experience in architectural design
  • Possess a firm grasp on the industry as a whole and stay up-to-date on evolving trends in architectural technologies
  • 2-year degree or equivalent experience in architecture, design, construction engineering, or related field is desired
  • Minimum 2 years of CAD drafting and detailing experience
