About the Role: This position will work on a wide variety of civil design projects, including:
- Road and streetscape design projects
- Trails and trailhead design
- Institutional facility site design and grading
- Utility design including storm drain, water, and sanitary sewer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical drafting support for assigned projects and prepare engineering drawings using CAD Civil 3D software.
- Perform planning and analysis for assigned projects using ArcPRO GIS software.
- Produce final civil design drawings.
- Prepare permit applications.
- Conduct field visits and construction site visits and learn about the aspects of construction assistance activities (verify quantities, field reports, process pay applications, etc.).
- Use computer modeling software to assist with modeling efforts (water, sewer, stormwater). Assist with report writing associated with modeling.
- Mentor Engineering Technicians and Interns.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University with an emphasis in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of related engineering design experience.
- Engineer Intern (E.I.) (passed FE exam), preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preparing various site plans, grading plans, civil plan sets, plan and profile sheets, and utility plans. Knowledge of and ability to apply CAD standards.
- Basic understanding of grading and drainage concepts and utility design standards for water and sewer distribution.
- Computer proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook) knowledge.
- Valid driver's license and driving record with 3 or less demerit points.
