Job Title: Interior Designer
Reports to: Director of Product Development
Salary Wage: $55k or Commensurate with Experience
Job Purpose:
Jeffrey Court Inc. is seeking energetic, outgoing, personable candidates for a Designer in our Product Development Department. Responsible for assisting in researching, developing, and launching new products for Jeffrey Court, Inc. Having experience in a design firm is preferable.
As a participant in our collaborative design process, you will work hand in hand with colleagues across all departments on a wide variety of innovative projects. Our focus is to bring cutting edge designer-minded products to the Architectural, Kitchen & Bath, and Interior Design communities alike. Our product designers work with a litany of interior designers, product developers, and industry insiders to deliver products for our end consumers. We focus our efforts in providing the highest quality decorative tile in natural stone, ceramic, porcelain, metal, and glass elements that offer the best value possible for our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Designer (D) is responsible for collaborating directly with the Director of Product Development (DPD) and Marketing in day-to-day tasks leading to the development of new product designs for both our Retail and Dealer Divisions.
· Identify and share the latest trends in interior design, fashion, architecture and pop culture as directed by Director of Product Development
· Gather product samples, compile inspiration materials, and generate pin/storyboards in preparation for new product presentation/pitches
· Participate in the design and production of new product initiatives
· Space planning and creative exhibition design for tradeshow development
· Expected to clearly communicate product designs through 2D, 3D drawings and/or hand rendered composites
· Build and update visual presentations for launches

Either or combination:
Art, Interior design, or interior architecture or similar degree is preferred and can provide a strong portfolio that represents technical ability and design savvy.
5+ years of experience in a design environment. Experience with project details and materials is a must.
· Obtain input from managers to ensure designs meet standards and brand expectations,
· Effectively communicate ideas and advocate for new products and ask questions when applicable.
· The candidate should attain the ability to generate and maintain a production schedule to keep product initiatives moving forward on time.
Below is a list of design traits and office programs that will be used daily.
· Strong verbal and written skills and the ability to convey ideas clearly.
· Highly inquisitive in nature, very organized, can balance multiple assignments, and reorganize priorities to meet organizational objectives.
· Computer Aided Design: AutoCAD 2016+
· Hand Drafting, Sketching and Coloring
· 3D Design using one or a combination of the following: Autodesk 3Ds Max, Revit, Sketchup
· Familiarity with a MAC Operating system, Microsoft office, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Applications
· Experience and working knowledge of Adobe CC, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
Our Physical Requirements:
· Ability to travel locally or out of state
· Ability to lift and move small to medium items up to 25lbs, while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
· Position entails, kneeling, squatting and bending over

Primary Location: United States-California-Inland Empire (Norco/Corona, CA)
Job Level: Entry Level to Intermediate
Travel: Minimum- Must be open to day trips and possible overnight
Schedule: Full-time
