Salary Range: $65,000.00 to $95,000.00 Annually. Salary will be dependent upon experience.
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing engineering design and production support to department for entitlement of multiple types of civil projects. Discipline involves preparing layouts, site, grading, and utility plans, roadway and utility plan and profiles, detail drawings, and other plan sheets and exhibits for a wide variety of infrastructure improvements. This includes land development, transportation, and utility projects for both public and private clients.
Essential Functions:
- Under general supervision, with some exercise of judgment, prepares computer-generated engineering drawings according to established standards and procedures.
- Prepares civil engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs.
- Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions.
- Understands and follows the company's standard CADD procedures for layering and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
- Quality checks all work and work of other designers to ensure complete and accurate plans are provided to engineers.
- Maintains schedules and offers progress reports.
- Ability to work in an exciting and collaborative team environment.
- Completes work within scope, schedule and budget limits.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree or certification in CADD or the equivalent job experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CADD technician with civil emphasis.
- Experience with: general civil drafting, surface development/manipulation, creating alignments, profiles and cross sections, civil plan set preparation.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and standard drafting practices.
- Civil 3D experience, including: corridor modeling surface creation, grading and drainage, pipe networks, alignments and profiles.
