Rapidly Growing Company – Looking for Graphic Designer – Temporary Position

YOUR MISSION

We are looking for a kick-ass Graphic Designer to join our ranks, someone with a proven ability to take big ideas and boil 'em down to a really catchy design that will draw positive attention.

The purpose is to create and provide quality designs or quality check the existing designs for the customer that will result in an excellent looking printed product, without errors, and get a good return on investment for them. Your designs will be used by our customers who take advantage of our automated products or set up in our e-commerce stores for customers to personalize. You will be creating designs using both Adobe products and an online design editor. We will train you to use our software.

SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE

Create aesthetic designs for various industries using our marketing expertise
Set up the designs to work with our design customization software
Set up existing designs to work with our design customization software
Understand and follow the workflow through our software systems

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
KICK ASS application of graphic design skills, ensuring all technical and aesthetic elements are followed in regard to proofs and artwork.

EXCELLENT grasp of Design Editor, and Adobe Creative Suites, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Need to know all terms related to graphic design and the specific printing terms used here at PostcardMania.

Able to design based on both customer requests and copy written by our copywriters, set up proofs according to the job’s specs and our required printing specs, and save jobs accordingly as well as complete other duties as assigned.

MUST have graphic design experience, knowledge of design elements, and technical elements, and be able to set up art correctly so that it will print with no errors.

Experience in print design a plus, minimum 2 years hands-on experience
An Associate’s Degree in Graphic Design is desirable but not required
Variable data knowledge and Prepress experience are a plus

WORK HOURS

Temporary Position form 6-8 weeks
This a full-time office position
Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm or 3:00pm to 12:00am with 1 hour for lunch

COMPENSATION
Pay is $18/hr. to start depending on experience
