Title:UI/UX DesignerUI/UX DesignerKBR is seeking a UI/UX Designer in Colorado Springs, CO.Designers, here’s your opportunity to develop breakthrough products and innovative software applications using Agile DevSecOps for our government customer Space CAMP and Platform One.As a UI/UX Designer you will tackle new problems in a fast-paced environment, producing value based on outcomes and providing solutions that exceed customer’s expectations. You’ll work closely with a Product Manager and other Software Engineers on a balanced team to create desirable experiences for the end-users that also meet business and stakeholder objectives.Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in research to discover and define opportunities.Propose multiple options for designs and weighing the benefits and risks of each approach.Effectively communicating chosen designs with users, stakeholders, management, and developers. This includes but is not limited to producing/maintaining components, design patterns, design systems, style guides and finished solutions.Work with developers throughout the implementation process to ensure the final build is consistent with the intended vision and sufficiently solves the problems.Provide team guidance on overall look and feel and enforcement of design standards.Requirements:Must be a US citizen and willing to be submitted in for a security clearanceBachelor of Science Information Technology (or related discipline)Minimum 8 years of experience designing for large- and small-scale websites and apps.Working knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Adobe XDDesign intuitive and user-centered interfaces for complex space domain awareness tools, ensuring that visualizations and interactions effectively convey critical data for decision-makingCollaborate with algorithm and data science teams to interpret complex algorithms and data outputs, translating them into accessible and actionable UI elements that enhance the user experienceWorking knowledge of Agile methodologies like Agile XP, and how design contributes in an agile environment.Experience with designing responsive interfaces for desktop & mobile web applicationsUnderstanding / experience with front-end technologies like CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, HTML5, Angular, and familiarity with RestAPIExcellent work ethic and ability to meet deadlinesExcellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skillsStrong presentation, facilitation and persuasive skillsPortfolio demonstrating variety and versatility, as well as impact/value of solutionsPossess a serious passion for designing visually appealing interfaces that excite end-users and deliver a rewarding experience.Ability to map your design decisions to user needs as well as business requirementsMust be able to obtain and hold a security clearanceThe offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Salary 105-135KAdditional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
