TriMech Services is hiring: 13591 Solidworks Designer in Newport News

3 Month Contract with possibility for extension based on performance

• Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience as a CAD Designer, specifically with SolidWorks in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Education:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field preferred
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, sheet metal tools, assemblies, and drawings.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC, sheet metal, welding, fastening, etc) and materials.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, product development, and quality standards.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • SolidWorks Certification (CSWA or CSWP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with additional CAD software is a plus (e.g., SW Simulation, AutoCAD, ANSYS).
  • Familiarity with PDM (Product Data Management) systems.
