We’re searching our next Senior Graphic Designer to support an office at the U.S. Department of Energy. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will produce high quality print and web-based graphics, content, and animations and oversee a team that supports the client.
**Key Responsibilities:
**
Ensure all creative materials follow agency and office brand standards, including Section 508 compliance.
Develop high quality graphic products that may include illustrations, photographs, logos, multi-media animation, and motion graphics. Such products will support program outreach initiatives such as social media campaigns and training activities.
Develop layouts based on layout principles and aesthetic design concepts. This may require conferring with client, developing conceptual designs and layouts, creating sketches and drawings, creating typographic layouts and markup, assembling or providing direction for final print layouts, and creating photograph layouts for prints.
Provide expertise in graphic design production to program managers.
Review graphic design deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
Able to obtain a public trust.
Bachelor’s degree with visual, communications, or design focus or equivalent experience.
Must be a U.S. citizen (contractual requirement).
15+ years of professional graphic design experience.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Studio products (e.g., Photoshop; Adobe Illustrator; InDesign).
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience applying graphic design to instructional design products (e.g., training visual aids).
Experience incorporating graphic design into video production projects.
Experience designing graphics for social media accounts, campaigns, and communications.
Strong communication skills to be the intermediary between creative staff and client, with the ability to command a crew.
Detailed knowledge of Section 508 requirements as applied to video production.
Nimble, innovative, and self-driven.
Job Location(s):
100% Remote. However, the successful candidate will be available to work normal east coast business hours as the client is located in Washington, D.C metropolitan area.

Pay Range
- There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$69,862.00 - $118,765.00
