RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist with developing AutoCAD designs, clarification sketches, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles, aesthetic design concepts, and technical requirements.
2. Communicate with CAD Designer and management on a regular basis regarding delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost and schedule.
3. Perform non-complex detailing, redrawing, lettering and tracing of drawings on components, assemblies and engineering change orders.
4. Revise AutoCAD designs and comply with modified specifications requested during the design effort.
5. Mark up, revise, and assemble final AutoCAD layouts to prepare for plotting.
6. Contribute design modifications to improve the product quality and function.
7. Take direction from engineers on new product development as well as sustaining and cost reduction projects.
8. Read and understand architectural plans; site specific foundation layout for commercial and residential projects.
9. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
10. Work with local entities to apply and obtain permits according to their specifications.
11. Other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and/or experience preferred
• At least one year experience as CAD designer in a service provider in a similar role
• Intermediate understanding and practical experience with AutoCAD, base-mapping, fundamental knowledge of running line, conduit, cable design fiber optics, manholes, and hand holes
• Understanding and practical experience with permitting protocols
• Knowledge of design tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook email)
• Must possess good written and oral presentation skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively to coworkers, senior management
• Comfortable and effective working with senior-level executives and external entities
