DTS is looking for an Instructional Designer to provide online (eLearning) asset creation for functional system training. This role works directly with clients to tease out learning objectives, script content, and storyboard training products to support systems training. We will count on you to develop alliances and work with client Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and industry professionals to develop course content and learning elements, as well as ensure content accuracy and appropriateness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create effective training products to support client learning objectives
- Develop relationships and work with Systems Team SMEs and industry professionals to develop course content and learning elements, as well as to ensure content accuracy and appropriateness
- Provide critical analysis of learning gaps, create clear training objectives, write scripts, and develop storyboards for all types of training products
- Assist in designing diagrams, illustrations, learning activities, and images to support written content
- Manage and coordinate the review process to ensure content accuracy
- Collaborate with a team of multi-media/graphic professionals for effective presentation of information
- Review and research new content and existing materials to see if they fit and can be used or re-purposed into content for specific learning paths
Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree is required in Instructional Design/eLearning
- Must have experience with systems training
- Must have experience with creating video trainings
- Must possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, both technical and business focused
- Must possess strong knowledge of adult learning concepts and business training methodologies
- Must have strong communication skills, with a focused and inventive consultative style
- Must be dedicated to developing and delivering outstanding work in a collaborative environment
- Must have the ability to learn new subjects quickly
- Must have the ability to work directly with clients and key stakeholders
- Must function productively in a dynamic work environment, while demonstrating teamwork and initiative
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in delivering Instructional System Design (ISD) services
- Experience with Federal Government
- General knowledge of 508 compliance
- Familiarity with Articulate
- Familiarity with Camtasia

- Salary Range: $55,000-$80,000

Salary at DTS is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. In addition, to support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, DTS typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
