About the role
As our Senior Product Designer, you'll steer the creation, validation, and launch of the next set of Skylight products while also lifting the bar on the quality and lovability of features used by millions of people daily.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will:
- Become an expert in both our customers and our products
- Contribute significantly to roadmap discussions, prioritization and scoping
- Work with Product and Engineering from feature concept through completion
- Own the end-to-end design (interaction, visual, etc.) across multiple features and projects
- Develop creative solutions, validate with customers & data and make recommendations
- Push to keep solutions simple, scope tight and always focus on what truly matters
- Provide implementation guidance to engineers and ensure features launch at the highest quality
- Design new experiences or layouts that evolve visual systems
Minimum qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in end-to-end consumer-facing mobile-first product design.
- A portfolio of work that demonstrates a breadth of visual and interaction design skills and a proven impact on business metrics
- Commitment to craft and product excellence
- Humble, collaborative, and service-oriented approach to your career
- Scrappiness and bias towards action
Preferred qualifications
- Experience delivering 0-1 products from concept to launch.
- Background in designing social networking mobile apps and consumer subscription apps.
- Experience with software design incorporating hardware components.
- General e-commerce design experience and designing for TV screens.
- Passion for connecting people and facilitating meaningful relationships.
- Leadership in product direction and strategic thinking.
- Demonstrated use of user research and data in your product design portfolio.
- Location: Los Angeles or San Francisco

For Colorado-based candidates, the range being offered for this role is $150K-175K based on experience and for California-based candidates, the range being offered for this role is $150K-175K based on experience.
