Job Summary
As a Product Designer II on the Scalable Creative team within Creative Studio, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality artwork experiences that captivate audiences on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN. In this role, you’ll be part of a team responsible for artwork reviews at scale, collaborating with content partners and global design agencies to ensure that product artwork consistently meets our standards. Working across hundreds of relationships with partners, you will help manage these connections, capturing data that informs workflow improvements and ensures alignment with our product artwork requirements.
In addition to artwork review, you will contribute to creating personalized artwork variants, using technology and data insights to design visuals that resonate with diverse viewer preferences and drive engagement. This is a high-volume role requiring adaptability and a proactive approach, where your hands-on design skills and creative eye will be essential for developing impactful, personalized artwork that enhances the user experience.
As a knowledgeable advocate for our product specs, you will serve as a consultant to global partners, ensuring assets meet downstream needs within the digital supply chain. We value collaboration, positivity, and flexibility; the right candidate will embrace our dynamic environment, contribute to team success, and help represent our work in group proposals and presentations to leadership.
Roles & Responsibilities
Art Direction & Feedback: Provide constructive feedback to content partners and agencies, ensuring artwork aligns with our high-quality standards.
Review at Scale: Support the review and approval process for a range of titles, engaging in high-volume workflows across multiple platforms.
Personalized Artwork Creation: Design and develop creative artwork variants that align with viewer preferences, using insights and technology to enhance engagement across different audience segments.
Quality Assurance: Identify and enforce quality benchmarks, flagging issues and escalating when necessary.
Artwork & Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of evolving artwork requirements and ensure our partners are equipped to meet them.
Creative Problem-Solving: Offer clear, effective solutions to unique design challenges and work with limited assets when needed.
Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to source and develop assets, share insights, and promote quality and consistency.
Innovation & Process Improvement: Continuously look for ways to enhance workflows, improve quality, and scale our artwork review processes.
Presentation & Representation: Represent our team’s work and vision in presentations, actively participating in developing and sharing proposals with leadership.
Qualifications
An online portfolio showcasing relevant visual design work, or evidence of professional involvement in creative workflows.
3-5 years in product design or related fields within media, entertainment, or technology industries, ideally with digital streaming content.
Strong composition skills and familiarity with design software, including Photoshop and Figma; hands-on experience creating key art and/or digital artwork for film/TV is an advantage.
Ability to work autonomously in a high-volume, fast-paced environment; proactive and eager to innovate.
Experienced in working across teams with designers, engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to drive impactful results.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of articulating design decisions to both peers and leadership.
Familiarity with managing digital assets in media/entertainment and navigating complex brand relationships.
Experience designing for multiple platforms, scaling design solutions, and taking a strategic approach to design at scale.
Adaptable, results-oriented, and eager to learn. You value feedback, bring a positive energy, and embrace change as an opportunity for design to lead.
The hiring range for this position in California is $104,600 to $140,200 per year and in New York or Seattle is $109,500 to $146, 800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
