Job Description: Arcanum is currently seeking a project manager to join the residential team. The candidate will lead the design team, in close collaboration with principals and clients, to develop, manage, and coordinate drawings sets. The candidate should be well rounded in all project phases with strong design skills, creative, well-organized, able to assume responsibility and collaborate with others.
This position is not remote. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to San Francisco and legally authorized to work in the United States. Arcanum is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.
Qualifications:
- Accredited degree in architecture: B.Arch. or M.Arch.
- 7+ years of professional experience, primarily in high-end custom residential projects
- Thorough knowledge of CRC standards, design, and detailing in Type V construction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup required; Adobe Suite and Revit preferred
- Thoughtful design skills and strong portfolio, including examples of residential construction drawings
- Excellent verbal, written and graphic communication skills; ability to be personable and proactive with clients is a must
- Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and self-management
- References confirming successful project leadership and project management capabilities
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with the Principal or Senior Project Manager, clients, and project consultants in the development of the design on multiple projects with limited oversight
- Lead and oversee the production, organization, and coordination of drawing sets, from design review through construction drawings, with an exceptional standard of craft and quality
- Direct and mentor junior staff in the production of presentation materials and drawing sets
- Independently oversee construction administration, including RFIs, shop drawing review, and on-site coordination with contractor and consultants
- Seek innovative approaches to communicate design ideas efficiently, effectively, and artfully
