Job Description Job Description The role provides creative and proactive solutions for our clients and their projects. The role collaborates with other design disciplines to ensure a complete design solution. The role takes direction from the Senior Technology Systems Designer and incorporates all design decisions into the design documents. This role is responsible for the day-to-day design and collaboration for all sizes of projects. This role is a resource to the Senior Technology Systems Designer and should proactively assist in accomplishing the overall goals of the project. This position reports to the Senior Technology Systems Designer. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with all levels of project complexity + Is continuing to learn and gaining knowledge on the design aspects for technology design + Adheres to the quality control procedures as they relate to design objectives + Collaborate with clients, consultants, staff, and others to prepare programming and conceptual through detailed design solutions + Ensure that required materials that support the design goals and objectives are in conformance with all applicable regulations and codes + Ensure timely completion of design tasks and coordinate with Senior Technology Designer, while meeting their individual design budgets and schedules + Participates in meetings to build consensus and effectively solve project design issues + Review design intent related to construction documents and shop drawings to ensure consistency with client needs and design objectives + Is understanding of the scope of the project and brings additional scope request to the attention the attention of the Senior Technology Systems Designer + Contribute project specific content to select RFPs + Be active in industry or client related organizations + Establishing relations with peer at the Client's firm to yield repeat work+ Assist Senior Project Manager/Project Manager/Senior Technology Systems What You Bring to the Table: An undergraduate degree in engineering, technology, or media arts production related to audio/music or film/video; or comparable experience 2-4 years of experience in the design and installation of audio, video, and technology systems from conception through construction administration Experience using AutoCAD, REVIT, and Bluebeam to develop drawing sets Knowledge of specification writing in CSI 3-part format Capable of managing your time and activities for optimal productivity Timely communication with senior staff regarding project work progression and status A desire to design creative, innovative A/V systems that keep us on the cutting edge of new technologies The talent and adaptability to work well with people at all levels of the organization A desire to build relationships and work directly with our clients - this is key to your success You have a good sense of humor, are driven to excellence, and want to be part of a positive office culture A desire to gain knowledge and skills and grow within the company
