Job Title: Senior Graphics Designer

Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Graphics Designer to join our charismatic church and ministries team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and a strong understanding of Christian values. This role involves creating visually compelling designs for various media, collaborating with different departments, and ensuring that all visual content aligns with our mission and values.

Responsibilities:

Design and Development

• Create high-quality graphics for print, digital, and social media platforms.
• Develop visual content for church events, sermons, promotional materials, and social media campaigns.
• Design layouts, graphics, and templates for church bulletins, newsletters, and other publications.

Collaboration

• Work closely with the communications team, pastors, and other departments to understand design needs and project requirements.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for visual content.
• Provide design support for special events and initiatives.

Brand Management

• Ensure all designs adhere to the church’s branding guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
• Update and maintain the church’s visual assets, including logos, color schemes, and typography.

Quality Control

• Review and proof all design work to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Provide constructive feedback to junior designers and volunteers.

Project Management

• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
• Develop and maintain a design project schedule and workflow.

Innovation and Trends

• Stay updated on the latest design trends and technologies.
• Implement new design techniques and tools to enhance the church’s visual content.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Graphics Designer or similar role, preferably within a church or nonprofit setting.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and styles.
• Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Understanding of Christian values and the ability to integrate them into visual content.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Experience with motion graphics and video editing software.
• Knowledge of web design and user experience (UX) principles.
• Experience in mentoring or leading a team of designers.
